The 2026-2027 Fall ESE Senior Design is an academic event hosted by the University of Pennsylvania, specifically for students enrolled in the Electrical and Systems Engineering (ESE) program. This initiative focuses on the development and presentation of senior design projects, which are a core component of the ESE curriculum. The competition provides a platform for students to showcase their innovative solutions and engineering prowess in various fields, including AR/VR, Fintech, and Quantum technologies. The objective is to foster practical application of theoretical knowledge gained throughout their studies, culminating in a demonstrable project. Participation is restricted to college students who meet the age requirements and are able to form a team. The projects will be evaluated by a panel of judges, including Sid Deliwala, Zeno Parisa, Ashna Amehja, and Kayan, with specific grading criteria outlined on Canvas. While the submission deadline for the fall semester is December 7, 2026, the ultimate recognition, a non-cash prize, will be awarded to one winning team during the spring semester of 2027, signifying the comprehensive nature of these multi-semester design projects.
