The 305 EmpowHER Edition October 2026 is a hybrid hackathon organized by CODE CRUNCH WORLDWIDE, in collaboration with Swift Club at FIU, Google Developer Group at Florida International University (GDG at FIU), ColorStack at FIU, CAHSI at FIU, Raspberry Pi Code Crunch, Hack University Worldwide, and Upsilon Phi Epsilon. The event is designed to give students an opportunity to build real projects, transform ideas into working prototypes, and collaborate with other students. Participants can develop technical and interdisciplinary skills, gain experience for their portfolios and résumés, and present their work through a live demo. Food and refreshments will be provided during the in-person component of the event. The hackathon features multiple competition categories, including a Best Overall prize, an MLH Challenge, and a Kaggle Challenge. To be eligible for prizes and winner recognition, all participants must submit their projects to Devpost and complete a live demo of a working prototype or completed project. Additional submission requirements apply for the MLH and Kaggle challenges. The hackathon is open to students from all majors. The official hackathon website, codecrunchglobal.vercel.app/hackathons/305-hackathon-series, contains comprehensive details on event specifics, eligibility requirements, tracks, categories, prizes, schedules, judging criteria, and participation information. Participants are encouraged to review this resource for complete guidelines.
Participants are expected to build a working prototype or completed project that demonstrates and validates their idea. A concept or presentation without a developed project is not sufficient.
Participants must be above the legal age of majority in their country of residence. Only students are eligible; companies/professional organizations are excluded. All countries/territories are eligible, excluding standard exceptions.
