The ARES International Training Scholarships for 2027-2028 are now accepting applications. These scholarships are part of a five-year program running from 2027 to 2032, designed to enhance the skills of professionals from ARES partner countries in development-related themes. Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to pursue either a one-year bachelor's degree, a specialized master's degree, or a six-month continuing education course within an institution of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation in Belgium. The program aims to support individuals who wish to deepen their expertise and contribute to development in their home countries. The scholarship package is comprehensive, covering essential expenses such as international travel, living allowances, and insurance costs. Additionally, it includes registration fees for bachelor's and specialized master's degrees, exceptional costs related to visa applications for these programs, and indirect assignment costs for continuing education courses. Applicants must be permanent residents and workers in one of the 32 eligible countries, possess a relevant higher education diploma, and demonstrate at least two years of professional experience post-graduation before the application deadline. Proficiency in the language of instruction is also a key requirement for successful integration and study.
Applicants must be a permanent resident and work in one of the 32 eligible countries (exception for people of Palestinian nationality). Applicants must hold a higher education diploma and meet the admission requirements of the chosen course. The relevant academic degree must have been held for a maximum of 20 years at the start of the training (increased by one year per delivery and/or adoption). Applicants must demonstrate a relevant professional occupation of at least two years after their last graduate degree and before the call closing date, in one of the 32 eligible countries. Applicants must complete the application in the language of the training and attest to good written and spoken knowledge of it. Knowing a minimum of French is beneficial for integration in Belgium. Applicants must apply for a single course.
