Berlinale Talents 2027 is a six-day talent development program for 200 emerging filmmakers, series and XR content creators, and key cinema industry players, taking place during the Berlin International Film Festival.

Berlinale Talents 2027 is the talent development program of the Berlin International Film Festival, an annual event that brings together filmmakers and industry representatives. Held every February, the program offers a creative Summit for selected participants. This includes talks, discussions, workshops, and numerous networking events, connecting participants with both the artistic and business aspects of the festival. Established in 2003, Berlinale Talents aims to support the world's top 200 emerging filmmakers, drama series creators, and key players in the cinema industry. The program provides a platform for professionals to share experiences and develop their careers. Beyond the main Summit, it also features the Berlinale Talents Lab for alumni with projects in development and the Talent Project Market for producer alumni seeking co-production or financing. Participants will engage in a six-day onsite event, from February 12th to 17th, 2027, fostering connections and professional growth within the international film community. The program is designed for individuals with a proven track record in filmmaking, series, or XR content creation who are eager to contribute to and benefit from a collaborative environment. There is no participation fee for selected talents.
Berlinale Talents is aimed at film and television professionals with an existing track record of work and who are willing to share their experiences with others. To be eligible, applicants need to have made at least one feature-length film OR two short films OR a high-quality drama series or TV movie that have screened in festivals or been widely streamed. Students are only admitted in very exceptional cases, for example, if they have previously worked in the film business. Applications are accepted in general, for specific projects, and from alumni.
