Canada's Total Mom Pitch is a national entrepreneurship funding and recognition awards program offering $50,000 in funding and support to Canadian mom entrepreneurs looking to grow their businesses.

Canada's Total Mom Pitch is a national entrepreneurship funding and awards program specifically designed for Canadian mom entrepreneurs who are balancing motherhood and business. Founded in 2018 by Anna Sinclair, an entrepreneur and mother of three, the program addresses the unique challenges faced by modern working mothers. It aims to provide significant support to founders ready to lead, scale, and build innovative businesses. The program offers $50,000 in funding and high-impact support to a grand prize winner, focusing on strategy, visibility, and access to an ecosystem designed to accelerate growth. Beyond capital, it provides meaningful connections, expert-led education, and opportunities for media exposure. The initiative is structured to support businesses at various stages, from concept to scaling. In addition to the main pitch competition, the Total Mom Recognition Awards are a separate track that celebrates mom entrepreneurs across specific categories, with no live presentation required. This allows businesses that have achieved milestones to gain national recognition. The entire program culminates in a Grand Finale and Networking Gala where the Top 5 finalists pitch live, and winners are announced, fostering a supportive community for mom entrepreneurs across Canada.
Participants must submit a pitch about their existing business, or a well-thought-out, viable business concept they have been actively working on for at least the past year. The application is essentially a mini-business plan detailing their business, its current stage, what they are building, and what they need to grow it. For the Top 100 Semi-Finalists, a short 60 to 90-second video is also required.
To be eligible for Canada's Total Mom Pitch, entrants must be legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec residents) and 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Participants must self-identify as a woman entrepreneur who is or has been a caregiver at some point, broadly and inclusively defined to include step-moms, grandmothers, adoptive mothers, and any caregiver identifying with that experience. Applicants must own or operate their own business, or intend to operate within the Canadian market, and have current total annual sales under $2,000,000 CAD. Those with sales exceeding this amount should apply for a Recognition Award. Previous Top 5 Finalists are not eligible to reapply for the Pitch, but previous applicants who did not reach the Top 5 are encouraged to reapply. Businesses should be well-thought-out and actively worked on for at least the past year; those still in the idea phase are encouraged to further develop their concept.
