DevonomicsV1 is an economics hackathon challenging participants to innovate how we manage money by creating technology solutions to real-world financial and economic problems. This event invites students to develop tools that enhance financial decision-making, analyze economic data, or make finance more accessible and efficient for everyone. The challenge encourages participants to focus on themes such as Fintech, productivity, or social good within economics. Whether it's building solutions for financial literacy, budgeting, or broader economic analysis, the goal is to create practical and user-focused applications that address current issues. The hackathon is open to students and professionals of all skill levels, allowing individuals or teams of up to four members to collaborate. All work must be original and created during the hackathon period, culminating in a submission that includes a project title, description, visuals, and a link to the code or prototype.
Participants should create a tech solution that addresses a real-world economic or financial problem. Projects can include tools for financial literacy, budgeting, economic analysis, productivity in finance, or solutions that promote social good in economics. The solution should be creative, practical, and user-focused.
The hackathon is open to students and professionals of all skill levels, aged 13+. Participants can join individually or in teams of up to 4 members. All participants must register on Devpost to be eligible. The hackathon is open to all countries/territories, excluding standard exceptions.
