DSH Hacks V2 is a global student competition jointly hosted by DeltaForge Hacks, NXT Horizon, and STEMise. This hackathon aims to bring together young innovators from around the world to develop technical products that address current health challenges. The central theme of the event is the intersection of AI and healthcare, encouraging participants to leverage AI in their solutions. Participants can work individually or in teams to identify a real-world healthcare problem and develop a meaningful technical solution. Projects can vary widely, including diagnostic tools for global diseases, patient-care platforms, or AI-powered systems for illness detection, treatment, and management. The competition emphasizes creativity, feasibility, technical depth, clinical insight, and real-world impact. The event welcomes participants to build various types of technical solutions such as apps, websites, simulations, systems, or algorithms. The use of AI is encouraged to help participants create impactful solutions and to lower technical barriers, making it accessible for beginners with ambitious project ideas. Projects must include a coding component, even if hardware is used. Judging criteria include the idea's innovation and potential impact, the technical implementation's functionality and complexity, the design's user experience, and the clarity and effectiveness of the project presentation. The hackathon offers a range of non-cash prizes from various sponsors, including credits, software licenses, and scholarships.
