GoatHacks 2027

Overview

GoatHacks 2027 is the biggest hackathon of the year hosted by WPI, inviting participants to come and build something new. This year's event is planned to be larger than ever before, including a makeathon component that will provide materials necessary for participants to create their projects. While specific details regarding theming, prizes, and tracks are yet to be announced, the event aims to foster innovation and personal development. Participants will have the opportunity to work on projects in a supportive environment, engaging with technology and developing novel solutions. The hackathon emphasizes an in-person "expo style" judging process, encouraging direct interaction between participants and judges. Though recorded demos are optional, the focus is on presenting the completed projects and discussing their development. Organized by WPI ACM, GoatHacks 2027 is designed to be beginner-friendly.

Eligibility

Anyone above the age of 16 is eligible to participate. The hackathon is open to participants from all countries and territories, with the exception of standard exclusions.

How to enter

1. Register for the hackathon on Devpost.

Submission requirements

• Submissions of the code repositories for the project.
• Image of the hardware hack (if applicable).
• Recorded demos are not required due to in-person judging, but are welcomed for historical record.
