Green Product Awards 2027

Overview

The Green Product Awards are open for submissions for the 2027 cycle, recognizing the best products from established companies and start-ups, as well as visionary design concepts. Since 2013, the international Green Product Award and Green Concept Award have highlighted sustainable innovations, services, and forward-looking ideas. The awards are based on transparent criteria and evaluation by an independent panel of experts, providing credible recognition for participants. Each year, the Green Product Awards receive submissions from over 50 countries, strengthening a company’s positioning in Germany and international markets. For the 2027 cycle, a clear certification structure has been introduced. All submissions are checked, reviewed by an international expert jury, and assessed against published criteria. Projects that meet the qualifications are recognized as Finalists or Winners and receive defined communication assets, seals, and a certificate. Students and recent graduates can apply for the Green Concept Award free of charge, while other participants incur a submission fee. Submissions are accepted across 14 categories, including Architecture, Building Design, Consumer Goods, Fashion, Initiatives, Interior & Lifestyle, Kids, Kitchen, Mobility, New Materials, Packaging, Personal Care, Sport, and Workspace. Within each category, distinctions are made for Best Product (established company), Best Product (start-up), and Best Concept (via the Green Concept Award). Evaluation considers criteria such as Overall, Approach, Elaboration, Impact, Market, Design, Innovation, and Sustainability. Important deadlines for the 2027 cycle include an early bird deadline in September 2026, a regular submission deadline in November 2026, and a final submission deadline in January 2027. Preliminary finalists will be announced in December 2026, followed by the announcement of all finalists in February 2027. The awards ceremony is expected to take place in Berlin at the end of March 2027.

How to enter

1. Submit products, services, or concepts for consideration in one of the 14 categories.

Submission requirements

• Submissions are checked and reviewed by an international expert jury.
• Projects must be assessed against published criteria to qualify as Finalists or Winners.
• Students and graduates within 6 months can apply for the Green Concept Award free of charge.
• Other participants are subject to a submission fee of €450 (exclusive of VAT).
• Established companies qualifying as Finalists are subject to a Finalist Package fee of €1,450 (exclusive of VAT).
