Over the years, Hack on Hills has grown into one of North India's largest student-run hackathons, bringing together thousands of developers, designers, innovators, and technology enthusiasts from across the country. This edition explores a defining shift in technology: the rise of autonomous agents. As AI systems evolve from tools that generate content to systems that can reason, plan, and execute tasks, we stand at the beginning of a new computing paradigm. Hack on Hills 8.0 invites participants to build products, platforms, and experiences that leverage this transformation to solve real-world problems. Whether you're building intelligent agents, decentralized applications, sustainable technology solutions, or entirely new ideas, this is your opportunity to turn ambitious concepts into working products. The hackathon features tracks in AI & Autonomous Agents, Blockchain & Web3, Sustainability & Social Impact, and Open Innovation. Participants will collaborate, prototype, and present their projects before a panel of industry experts, mentors, and judges.
Participants are invited to build products, platforms, and experiences that leverage the rise of autonomous agents to solve real-world problems. Projects can fall under tracks such as AI & Autonomous Agents (systems capable of reasoning, planning, decision-making, and autonomous execution), Blockchain & Web3 (decentralized applications, protocols, and infrastructure), Sustainability & Social Impact (technology solutions addressing environmental, social, and community challenges), or Open Innovation (bold ideas beyond predefined categories).
Teams must consist of 2-4 members. Shortlisting of participants will be based on profiles and application review. The finals will be an in-person hackathon at NIT Hamirpur.
