Through this program, Hinge funds groups that create opportunities for in-person connection and develops campaigns to encourage participation. This grant specifically targets established community groups that already bring people together regularly. The funding is intended to cover practical expenses such as space, equipment, and other operational costs that enable these groups to sustain and expand their activities. The initiative seeks to support communities where members consistently show up, whether for a book club, a philosophy group, a comic book crew, or other unique shared interests. Applications are evaluated based on criteria including the group's establishment, regularity of meetings, cost-effectiveness for participants (free or low-cost), and a clear focus on creating in-person connection opportunities for Gen Z. Eligibility
Currently, only groups based in the following cities qualify for funding: US – Los Angeles, New York City; UK – London; France – Paris, Marseilles; Australia – Sydney, Melbourne. Eligible groups must be established, meet regularly, be free or low cost to participate in, and have a unique focus on creating in-person connection opportunities for Gen Z.
