Jesus College Cambridge is inviting applications for a Research Fellowship in a range of science disciplines. This includes fields such as Biological Anthropology, Biology/Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Ecology, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Mathematics/Mathematical Sciences, Medicine, Natural Sciences, Physics, Psychology, and Veterinary Sciences. Candidates whose research spans disciplinary boundaries involving at least one of these subjects are also encouraged to apply. This Fellowship is a fixed-term, three-year position, typically commencing on October 1, 2027. The program is designed to support researchers in the early stages of their careers, providing a platform for advanced research within a collegiate environment. Successful fellows will receive a competitive remuneration package, starting from £32,882 per annum, set by reference to the University of Cambridge salary scale. In addition to financial compensation, the fellowship includes benefits such as free dinner or lunch, reimbursement for certain research expenses, and eligibility to join the University Pension Scheme. The fellowship aims to attract talented individuals who are either doctoral students nearing the completion of their PhD or postdoctoral researchers who have recently obtained their PhD. Candidates who have undertaken more than five years of full-time research are unlikely to be considered.
