Eligibility
The scholarship is open to anyone writing in the English language who was born in Africa, or both of whose parents were born in Africa. There are no age restrictions for applicants.
How to enter
- Prepare a submission of 2,000 to 5,000 words of published work as a Word document.
- Gather proof of publication and proof of sale for the submitted work.
- Obtain a scan of an official document verifying that you, or both of your parents, were born in Africa.
- Write a description of 400 – 1,000 words about the new book you intend to write.
- Prepare a brief biography of 200 – 300 words.

- Submit your application via the provided online form.
Submission requirements
- A submission of between 2,000 to 5,000 words as a Word document of work that has been published and offered for sale.
