Overview
PeddieHacks is an annual 48-hour online hackathon hosted by the Peddie School Computer Science Club in Hightstown, New Jersey. This event is created by students, for students, aiming to foster an interactive and exciting environment for learning and coding.
The hackathon challenges participants to work individually or in teams of up to four to design and implement solutions to real-world problems. The specific themes and two project tracks will be announced at the opening ceremony, encouraging both novice and experienced programmers to collaborate and innovate.
PeddieHacks is committed to being beginner-friendly, with optional workshops and gaming sessions available throughout the event to support participants. All sessions will be recorded to accommodate varying time zones, ensuring everyone has access to the learning resources and event activities.
The competition offers a total of over $800 in cash prizes, distributed across various categories including high school tracks, college tracks, solo, judge's, and innovation prizes, along with numerous sponsored perks and memberships.
What to build
Participants must design and implement solutions for real-world problems. The specific themes and two project tracks will be announced at the opening ceremony.

Eligibility
Participants must be students, aged 13 to 20 only. Companies and professional organizations are excluded. All countries/territories are eligible, excluding standard exceptions.
How to enter
- Register for the hackathon on Devpost.
- Fill out the additional form at https://forms.gle/EUG7hn6vqEV38kp38.
- Join the Discord server via the link provided after filling out the registration form.
- Form teams of a maximum of four people.
- Begin working on projects after hacking begins at 1:00 PM EDT on August 14, 2026.
- Submit the project by 9:00 AM EDT on August 16, 2026.
Submission requirements
- Code submission
- Slideshow presentation
- 1-2 minute video demonstration of the project
- At least one group member must attend the live judging round if the project qualifies.
