This Postgraduate Certificate program focuses on the biology of ageing and the clinical aspects of frailty. It aims to deepen your understanding of the physiological changes associated with ageing, how these can lead to frailty, and why older adults become more vulnerable to adverse health outcomes. The course will equip you with the knowledge and skills to assess and manage older adults living with frailty in a clinical setting. You will also learn how to apply this knowledge in research and understand its translation back into clinical practice, ultimately helping to improve resilience in older adults.

Careers

Entry requirements
Honours DegreeA minimum of a 2.1 honours degree (or equivalent) from an Irish university or international institution. Previous completion of the Frailty Micro-credential module is strongly advised if a 2.1 honours degree is not held.
IELTSBand B (Standard Entry) requirements
Applicants should be health or social care professionals working with older adults, including doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, allied health and social care professionals, and service managers.
