This one-year Advanced Certificate in Clinical Research program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in clinical and translational science within a major New York hospital network. It is designed for recent graduates aspiring to careers in science or healthcare, or for individuals seeking to deepen their research interests, including residents, research fellows, and other healthcare professionals in training.
GRE and/or MCAT scores are not required but can be submitted if available. International medical graduates who have completed any steps of the USMLE are required to submit their scores.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university prior to matriculation. GRE and/or MCAT scores are optional, but international medical graduates must submit USMLE scores if applicable.
Applicants from non-English-speaking countries who did not earn a degree from an English-speaking university or curriculum must submit TOEFL scores of 100 or higher, or IELTS scores of 7.5 or higher.
The application deadline for international students is June 1, 2026, for the upcoming Fall term.
You must submit a completed application form, official transcripts (translated and evaluated for international applicants), two letters of recommendation, a personal statement, and your resume or CV. TOEFL/IELTS and USMLE scores are also required if applicable.
