Advanced Practice (Midwifery)

This Master of Science (M.Sc.) program is designed for qualified and experienced midwives who aspire to become Advanced Midwife Practitioners. It focuses on developing advanced knowledge, skills, and attitudes essential for practicing at the highest professional standards across all areas of care. The curriculum emphasizes person-centred care, autonomy, ethical practice, collaboration, and leadership. The program utilizes a blended learning approach, combining lectures, group discussions, and self-directed online learning. Assessment includes written assignments, practical tasks, and a dissertation for the M.Sc. degree.

Curriculum

The program offers multiple exit points: a Postgraduate Certificate (P.Grad.Cert.), a Postgraduate Diploma (P.Grad.Dip.), and a Master of Science (M.Sc.). Students can progress through these levels based on their academic achievements and career goals. The M.Sc. requires 110 ECTS credits, the P.Grad.Dip. requires 60 ECTS, and the P.Grad.Cert. requires 30 ECTS.
