This BA (Hons) Animation with Illustration degree program is designed for aspiring creative professionals who want to combine animation and illustration skills for a career in the animation industry. You will gain experience in both 2D and 3D animation techniques, alongside essential drawing skills which are highly valued in the industry.

The final year focuses on career preparation, including developing your online portfolio and marketing yourself effectively in the predominantly freelance animation industry. You will have opportunities to build career contacts, practice interview techniques, and explore job opportunities.
A portfolio is required for this course and applications will not be considered without one. The portfolio should include 8-10 pieces, ideally observational drawing, life drawings, and any work demonstrating digital skills or animation exploration. Any work you are particularly proud of is also welcome.
