Entry requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalentMust hold a Laurea (Bachelor's degree) or a three-year university diploma, a four-year degree, or an equivalent qualification obtained abroad. Students must also meet specific curricular and personal preparation requirements, as detailed below. Enrollment with academic deficiencies is not permitted.
Specific Course CreditsAt least 12 ECTS credits in archaeological disciplines (e.g., Prehistory, Numismatics, Classical Archaeology, Christian Archaeology, Ancient Topography, Archaeological Research Methods, etc.) AND at least 12 ECTS credits in ancient historical and linguistic disciplines (e.g., Greek History, Roman History, Ancient Near Eastern History, Egyptology, Assyriology, Latin Language and Literature, Medieval History, History of Religions, etc.). Discrepancies in curriculum requirements will be evaluated by the Degree Course Council.
Italian Language ProficiencyAssessed via interview for non-EU students subject to Italian language knowledge requirements.
Adequate knowledge of basic IT tools (word processing, presentation software) and a foreign language (satisfactory communication, reading, and listening skills related to academic communication) is also required. The personal preparation of each student will be verified through an interview to assess foundational knowledge in the core scientific-disciplinary sectors and adequate methodological tools.
