
This two-year Master's Degree Programme is designed to equip you with the advanced skills needed to design, develop, and manage next-generation intelligent, scalable, and reliable digital systems, leveraging cutting-edge high-performance computing technologies. All courses are taught in English, creating an international learning environment and preparing you for global career opportunities. The curriculum blends fundamental knowledge in mathematics, computer science, and AI ethics with specialized modules in areas like natural language processing, computer vision, trustworthy AI, advanced computational paradigms, and deep learning. The program culminates in a thesis project, which can be undertaken within the Department of Computer Science or in collaboration with external organizations. The programme combines solid foundations in mathematics, computer science, and the ethical-legal aspects of AI with specialised modules. Students can customise their pathway through elective and free-choice courses.

You will gain expertise in HPC architectures, AI algorithms, large-scale software engineering, data analysis, trustworthy AI systems, project management, and navigating ethical and legal challenges.
Entry qualification documents accepted in English, French, Italian, or Spanish. Translations required for other languages. Language proficiency will be assessed during the oral examination if no certificate is provided.

Applicants need a Bachelor's degree with a minimum final grade of 7/10. This must include at least 48 ECTS/CFU in Computer Science/Engineering and 18 ECTS/CFU in Mathematics. An oral examination will assess academic preparation, unless exempted due to a very high degree grade.
Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency with an IELTS score of 6.0 (no component below 6.0), PTE Academic score of 65, or Cambridge FCE Grade B (173). Language proficiency may also be assessed during the oral examination if a certificate is not provided.
Tuition fees range from €156 to €2,800 per year for home students, depending on financial situation. For international students, the tuition fee is €2,800 per year for the academic year 2025-26, with potential fee reductions or exemptions available.
This Master's Degree Programme has a nominal duration of two years, totaling 120 ECTS. All courses are taught entirely in English.
