This Associate Degree of Teacher Education is designed as a pathway into further studies in education and teaching. It provides a strong foundation in contemporary educational practices and develops essential skills in critical thinking, academic reading, and writing. Students who perform well in the common first-year subjects have the opportunity to apply for transfer into an undergraduate teaching degree for their second year. Alternatively, graduates can use this qualification to gain expertise in educational studies or progress into a Graduate Entry Teaching program.
Graduates can pursue careers in various cultural, community, educational, recreation, and leisure settings. This includes roles in school holiday programs, training and professional development, local council educational agencies, and youth assistance programs.
ATAR scores may differ for the same course offered at multiple locations. Some pathways may be available through TAFE, transfer from other degrees, or mature age entry.
