Industrial Design at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) focuses on developing interactive systems, products, and services that aim to improve society and people's lives. The program integrates technology, creativity, user needs, aesthetics, social impact, and business considerations to create meaningful applications. You will learn to tackle design challenges for services, products, or systems, developing both the skills and the mindset required. The curriculum is hands-on, emphasizing learning by doing. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design.
Curriculum
The program integrates five key areas of expertise through hands-on projects and coursework. Students learn by doing, applying acquired knowledge immediately. The curriculum allows for specialization from the second year and encourages students to develop their own vision and professional identity. Students can choose electives to deepen their knowledge within Industrial Design or broaden their horizons with subjects from other programs. The third year focuses on combining these areas of expertise.

Entry requirements
Pre-university educationSuccessful completion of pre-university education, including Mathematics B and Physics.
HBO propaedeutic year or Bachelor's diplomaEligibility and additional requirements apply for applicants with an HBO propaedeutic year or a Bachelor's diploma from a University of Applied Sciences.
Affinity with design and technology is essential. Experience in programming or visualization is considered a plus. A compulsory study choice check is required for applicants who have completed an HBO propaedeutic year or a Bachelor's diploma from a University of Applied Sciences.
