Mathematics RequirementOne of the following: MAT 125 (Calculus A), or MAT 130 + MAT 125, or AMS 151 (Applied Calculus I), or any higher-level calculus course, or Level 6 on the mathematics placement exam. If not placed into MAT 125, MAT 123 or MAT 119/MAT 123 is required.
Upper-Division Writing RequirementCompleted in the senior year, typically through ECO 359 (WRTD-certified) or ECO 487/ECO 459 for independent research.
All courses for the major must be passed with a letter grade of C or higher. A maximum of four Economics courses taken at other institutions may be applied toward the major. Students planning for graduate study or career preparation are encouraged to take additional mathematics and applied mathematics courses.
