
This honours degree program combines the study of linguistics with information technology, preparing students for a range of roles in fields where language and technology intersect. The curriculum is designed to provide a strong foundation in both disciplines, fostering analytical and problem-solving skills. Students will explore the structures of language, how language is used in various contexts, and the principles of information technology. The program aims to equip graduates with the ability to understand and apply technological solutions to linguistic challenges and to leverage linguistic insights in the development and application of IT systems.

Applicants with STPM (Sastera/Sains) need a minimum Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in Bahasa Melayu and one of Economics/Accounting/Business Studies/ICT/Mathematics. Matriculation/Foundation applicants need a minimum Grade B- (NGMP 2.67) in Mathematics/Computer Science/Computing. All applicants must also pass a prescribed interview.
Applicants must achieve MUET Band 3.0 (from 2021 onwards) or Band 3 (until 2020), OR Band 2.0 (from 2021 onwards) or Band 2 (until 2020). Alternatively, a minimum pass with Credit (Grade C/6C) in SPM English is accepted.
