The Bachelor of Communication and Media (Honours) is an additional year of study for students who have completed an undergraduate degree and wish to deepen their knowledge and research skills. This program allows you to undertake an honours project on a topic of your interest, guided by an academic supervisor. It's an opportunity to develop advanced research, analytical, and communication skills, preparing you for further postgraduate study or enhancing your career prospects by demonstrating a high level of academic achievement.

Entry requirements
Bachelor's degreeA completed bachelor’s degree from UOW with an average of at least 75% in the major(s) for the Honours degree. A Distinction is required in two 300-level subjects within the major.
IELTS Academic6.5 overall (6.0 in Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking)
TOEFL (Internet-based)86 overall (18 in Reading, 18 in Writing, 17 in Listening, 17 in Speaking)
UOW College English for Tertiary StudiesCredit (65% overall, 50% in Academic Reading and Writing)

Tuition fees are reviewed annually and are subject to change. The fee shown is indicative for 2026 and based on normal course progression.
