The Bachelor of Engineering Elite Programme is designed for talented and high-achieving students who aspire to become leaders in the rapidly evolving engineering landscape. This program allows you to build a strong foundation in engineering and then specialize in a chosen BEng degree stream from your second year onwards. You will benefit from dedicated academic advising and industrial mentorship to explore your potential and tailor your curriculum.
Curriculum
The first year focuses on core engineering principles. From the second year, you will select a specific BEng programme to study, receiving the same comprehensive training as students in our standard BEng programmes. The curriculum is enhanced with opportunities for academic advising, industrial mentorship, internships, overseas exchange, and active learning to ensure you are well-prepared for the future.

Entry requirements
Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE)Level 4 in English Language, Level 3 in Chinese, Level 2 in Mathematics, Attained in Citizenship and Social Development, and at least Level 3 in two elective subjects. Candidates admitted with Level 4 in English Language will need to take 6 additional credits in Core University English.
The University also considers interview performance and student learning profile. For JUPAS applicants, HKU uses a bonus points system for high achievement in HKDSE subjects (0.5 for Level 5, 1 for Level 5*, 1.5 for Level 5**).
