The Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHSc) is a three-year undergraduate program providing a comprehensive, multidisciplinary overview of health and healthcare. You will explore topics such as mental health, sexual health promotion, environmental health, disease management, and community health. The program is designed to equip graduates with skills applicable across various roles in the health sector and beyond. Graduates will gain a foundational understanding of Aotearoa New Zealand's diverse health and disability sector.
Curriculum
The BHSc requires a total of 360 points, comprising 120 compulsory points, at least 120 points in Health Sciences, and the remaining 120 points from Health Sciences or other eligible degrees. A minimum of 225 points must be from courses above 100-level, with at least 90 points at 300-level. The degree can be completed in three years of full-time study or up to six years part-time. Students can choose to complete a major, a major and a minor, or a double major. Minors can be selected from various disciplines across Health Sciences, Arts, Commerce, Digital Screen, Product Design, Science, Sport, and Youth and Community Leadership.
