This double degree combines legal training with psychological insight, preparing graduates for diverse careers. You will gain a strong understanding of legal principles alongside key areas of human behaviour, such as social change, group dynamics, and cross-cultural communication. The program develops strong analytical and research skills, equipping you for roles in mental health, human resources, child and family services, youth work, counselling, disability support, migrant services, and policy development. Practical learning opportunities, including a Community Legal Practice unit and mooting competitions, bridge theory and practice, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for professional life.
Curriculum
The course requires students to complete 23 Core Law units, 9 recommended law elective units, and 12 Core Psychology units. Psychology units should generally be completed in sequence.

Entry requirements
High School ResultsIndicative ATAR of 85 or equivalent. Alternative pathways include AQF Advanced Diploma, Undergraduate Certificate, successful completion of 1 EFTSL at Bachelor level or higher in Australia, Skills for Tertiary Admissions Test, University Preparation Course, Indigenous University Orientation Course, or Associate Degree.
