Entry requirements
Australian Year 12 or equivalentAchieve a required score equivalent to completing at least 13 years of schooling in Australia. Completion of relevant subjects in senior high school or other qualifications is recommended.
Diploma of NursingApplicants with an approved and accredited Diploma of Nursing (HLT54121 or HLT54115) may be eligible for up to 48 credit points, allowing for direct entry into the second year and completion in two years of full-time study. Must hold current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA. Additional orientation and online modules are required.
IELTS AcademicOverall 7.0, with no less than 7.0 in Reading, Writing, and Speaking, and no less than 6.5 in Listening.

Alternative pathwaysCompletion of six years of schooling (including at least two years of secondary school) in an approved English-speaking country, or current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse, Registered Nurse, or Midwife.
Test results must be obtained within two years of applying for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). Graduates may need to retake the IELTS test to meet NMBA registration standards. Mandatory NSW Health requirements (police check, code of conduct, immunisation/vaccination) must be met before commencing clinical placements.
