Entry requirements
HKDSELevel 4 in English Language, Level 3 in Chinese Language, Level 2 in Mathematics, Attained in Citizenship and Social Development. Plus, at least Level 3 in two elective subjects. Candidates with Level 4 in English Language will be required to take 6 additional credits in Core University English.
JUPAS candidates apply through the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS Code: JS6250). For non-JUPAS candidates, applications should be submitted through HKU’s International Admissions Scheme / Non-JUPAS Admissions Scheme. The scoring system for JUPAS includes bonus points for high achievement levels in HKDSE subjects (Level 5: 0.5 bonus, Level 5*: 1 bonus, Level 5**: 1.5 bonus). Consideration is also given to interview performance and student learning profile. The best results from 2024, 2025, and 2026 will be considered for JUPAS applicants. Interviews are tentatively scheduled for mid-June 2026 (before HKDSE results) and late July 2026 (after HKDSE results).
Fees
Tuition (international)HK$224,000 per year for non-Hong Kong local undergraduates in non-STEM faculties (Faculty of Architecture, Arts, Business and Economics, Education, Law, Social Sciences, and Future Media).
Tuition (home)HK$47,000 per year for Hong Kong local undergraduates.
LivingOn-campus accommodation: HK$17,290 - HK$37,940 per year (285 days, excluding summer). Off-campus accommodation: HK$30,000 - HK$50,000 per year. General living expenses: not exceeding HK$50,000 per year.
