The Bachelor of Visual Arts is designed to develop your skills in a range of visual art techniques, including drawing, photography, printmaking, and digital art. You will learn to use these tools to create work that addresses important social issues and encourages audiences to think critically about local and global concerns. The program offers opportunities to create art within Perth's vibrant cultural centre. Graduates are prepared for careers in the cultural sector, both nationally and internationally, as artists, curators, designers, exhibition specialists, creative directors, and writers.
Curriculum
The course requires students to complete 240 credit points of core units and 120 credit points of elective units. Students can choose to complete a 4-unit, subject-based Elective Sequence to have a minor recorded on their transcript, or select any other combination of units from within or across university schools.
