Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or BioengineeringMinimum overall grade average of 70% required. Must have completed experimental research work for a bachelor’s thesis in Biochemistry or related sciences. Must have studied the following subjects during bachelor's: Analytical Chemistry, General Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Bioorganic Chemistry, Biochemistry.

For non-EU/EFTA applicants, the gap between completing your Bachelor degree and submitting the application should not exceed five years. Entrance examination in biochemistry required for eligible applicants. Documents accepted in English or Lithuanian; official translations needed if not in these languages. English language test scores are waived if English is your first language or if you have a university degree taught in English. A motivation letter is required.

Living—
An application fee of 100 EUR is required per application. This fee is non-refundable. Students are required to pay the annual tuition fee within 15 calendar days of receiving the study offer.

2. Check Application DatesBe aware of the application submission deadlines.
3. Check Eligibility and Prepare DocumentsReview the general, program-specific, and country-specific admission requirements. Gather all necessary documents, including undergraduate diploma, transcripts, and potentially official translations. Prepare your motivation letter. Ensure your previous degree was obtained within the last 5 years if you are a non-EU/EFTA applicant.
4. Pay Application Fee and Submit ApplicationCreate an account on the online application system (apply.vu.lt). Submit your application along with all required documents. The application fee is 100 EUR per application, payable through the Flywire platform. Your application is processed only after the fee is collected and all documents are submitted.
5. Confirm Acceptance and Pay Tuition FeeYour application will be assessed within 30 days. You will receive an acceptance or rejection notification via the online system. If accepted, you must confirm your acceptance within 7 working days. EU/EEA citizens and other eligible foreign students admitted to non-state-funded places must pay the annual tuition fee within 15 calendar days of the offer.
6. Arrange Your ArrivalAfter paying the tuition fee and receiving the final acceptance letter, arrange your visa/residence permit application if needed. If you require accommodation, apply for a dormitory place via the application platform. The university's International Relations Office will provide information on obtaining a temporary residence permit and send a mediation letter for non-EU citizens.
