This Bachelor of Music (BMus) degree offers a dynamic and contemporary approach to music studies, reflecting the diverse landscape of music in the 21st century. A music qualification (e.g., UAL Extended Diploma, BTEC, A-level) is recommended but not essential if you have substantial experience in performing, composition, or theory. Experience with reading and writing music notation is advantageous but not required. Applications are considered based on academic and musical achievement. If formal music study is limited, an online interview may be arranged to discuss your musical experiences, interests, and aims. You may be asked to perform a piece or share a piece of work for discussion. Applicants receiving an offer may be invited to an on-campus applicant day with taster sessions. An Integrated Degree in Music with a foundation year is also available.

1. Apply via UCASFor full-time study, applications are made through UCAS using the UCAS code W302. For applicants from Crimea Region/Sevastopol, Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) / Luhansk People's Republic (LNR), Cuba, Iran, North Korea, or Syria, an alternative application form is required.
2. Online Interview (if applicable)If your academic and musical achievements are not fully evidenced at the application stage, or if you haven't had formal music study opportunities, you may be invited to an informal online interview with a member of the Music teaching team. This interview will discuss your musical background, interests, and aspirations, and may involve performing a piece or discussing a submitted work.
3. Applicant Day (if applicable)If you receive an offer, you will be invited to an on-campus applicant day to meet staff and students, and participate in taster sessions.
4. Part-time ApplicationFor part-time study, you can apply directly to Goldsmiths through their online application system.
