
This certificate program provides a comprehensive understanding of the complete bookkeeping cycle, from initial company setup through to the end of the business year. You will gain practical skills in computerized accounting systems, learn to apply your knowledge using spreadsheets, and develop an in-depth understanding of payroll administration. The program is delivered mostly online and designed for part-time study, offering flexibility for those balancing work or personal commitments.
A minimum of 50% of the program must be completed through Okanagan College.

Applicants must have completed BUAD 111 or OADM 143, BAC 11 and BAC 12. A minimum grade of 73% in Accounting 12 or an equivalent qualification is also required.
The program typically takes about 12 months for part-time study, completing one course at a time. It is possible to complete it faster, in approximately 6 to 8 months, by taking courses concurrently or fast-tracking with approval.
The total program cost for domestic students is approximately CAD $1,617. This amount is subject to change, and textbooks and materials are additional costs.
