This four-year BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance program, including a foundation year, provides a robust grounding in essential accounting and finance skills. It's designed to prepare you for the professional world with a practical and inspiring approach. You'll gain a solid understanding of key accounting and financial principles, equipping you for management roles in industry and commerce or a career as a professional accountant. The foundation year introduces core concepts within a business context, leading to advanced techniques and specialisms in subsequent years. The program emphasizes developing teamwork, leadership, and project management skills to enhance employability.
The course is structured across four years, with a foundation year to build essential knowledge. Students progress to covering advanced techniques and specialisms. The final year involves complex projects, ethical considerations, strategic business issues, and independent research. Students can choose two optional modules in their final year to specialize and complete an independent study. An optional placement year is available between the second and third stages.
