Catalysis Across Disciplines

The XXIV Congress of the Interdivisional Catalysis Group (GIC) of the Italian Chemical Society (SCI) is a three-day event hosted in Torino, jointly organized by the University of Torino and Politecnico di Torino. It serves as a comprehensive platform for discussing the latest advancements in catalysis, with a strong focus on interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation. The congress will feature plenary and keynote lectures from prominent national and international experts, offering insights into cutting-edge developments. Contributions from industry will underscore catalysis's vital role in sustainable technologies and bridging the gap between fundamental research and practical applications. A significant portion of the program is dedicated to oral and poster presentations by young researchers, whose participation is actively encouraged and supported. Key areas covered include photocatalysis, electrocatalysis, CO2 capture and conversion, and the catalytic transformation of biomass and various waste streams (plastic residues, industrial by-products) into valuable chemicals, fuels, and materials.
