This Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820) at Victoria University provides the skills and knowledge necessary to become a licensed electrician. It is designed as an apprenticeship program, combining practical on-the-job training with your employer with theoretical study. The course covers a wide range of skills, including the selection, installation, setup, testing, fault finding, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment in buildings and premises. You will learn about electrotechnology components, circuit design, electrical work development, and essential safety practices. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible to apply for the licensing exam through Energy Safe Victoria or pursue further studies.

Curriculum

To achieve the Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician, students must complete a total of 1,110 weighting points, consisting of 990 core weighting points and 120 elective weighting points. General elective points can be chosen from Group A or from other relevant training packages, provided they contribute to the overall vocational outcome.
