Civil and Construction Engineering (Honours)

Civil and construction engineers are responsible for the design and construction of essential infrastructure that shapes our society, including buildings, bridges, roads, harbours, and water supply systems. This program equips you with the scientific, mathematical, and practical skills needed to excel in various areas of civil and construction engineering. You will gain expertise in structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, transportation, hydraulics, construction management, water resources, and professional practice. Upon graduation, you will be prepared to design and build the infrastructure of the future.

Curriculum

This program allows for specialisation to deepen your knowledge in civil and construction engineering or broaden your expertise. You will integrate design, construction, and management skills in major civil engineering projects during your final year, and undertake a significant research project. A key component is completing at least 450 hours of professional engineering practice through relevant work experience or other approved activities.
