A preliminary internship of up to 16 weeks is required, with at least 8 weeks to be completed and proven before the start of the winter semester. The remaining weeks must be proven by the beginning of the third semester. Exceptions may be possible. The internship should impart basic skills and knowledge in civil engineering and can be completed on construction sites or in technical offices, including technical authorities.
Students are required to pay a semester contribution which covers administrative costs and a student services fee. This contribution also includes a semester ticket for public transport.
