This MSc program in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is designed for graduates and professional engineers seeking to develop practical and technical expertise in this specialized engineering field. It addresses the growing global demand for CFD specialists by bridging the gap between undergraduate knowledge and the advanced skills required in industry and research. You will gain a deep understanding of CFD methods, enabling you to apply them across diverse areas such as aerospace, automotive, energy, multi-phase flow, heat transfer, microflows, bio-medical flows, and fluid-structure interaction. The course emphasizes both the theoretical foundations and practical application of CFD. Students will have the opportunity to write their own CFD codes and work on real-world industrial problems. This hands-on approach, combined with interaction with students from other disciplines, prepares graduates for successful careers in computational analysis, design, and engineering applications.
The course is delivered from October to April through lectures and computer-based labs. It includes compulsory modules covering fundamental CFD principles and applications. The learning structure comprises 40% taught modules, 40% individual research project, and 20% group project.
Consideration may be given to candidates with relevant industrial experience.
