How to apply
1. Complete the Online ApplicationSubmit your application online. There is no application fee.
2. Submit Official College/University TranscriptsArrange for ALL official college/university transcripts to be sent directly from the institutions you attended to the BW Admission Office. Electronic transcripts can be sent to admit@bw.edu. Paper copies should be mailed to: Admission Office, Baldwin Wallace University, 275 Eastland Road, Berea, OH 44017. BW transcripts for current or former students will be obtained automatically.
3. Credential Evaluation for International DegreesIf your degree was earned outside the United States, you must have a course-by-course evaluation with degree verification completed by one of BW's approved credential evaluation services: Education Credential Evaluators, Educational Perspectives, SpanTran, or World Education Services (WES). The evaluation must be sent directly from the service to BW.
4. Provide Two Professional RecommendationsUse the recommendation form in the online applicant portal. Select two individuals (e.g., employment/internship managers, supervisors, college professors, academic advisors) who can evaluate your background and potential for success. Family members, spouses/partners, or close friends are not accepted as recommenders. Note: Teachers in a BW school partnership program only need one recommendation.
5. Verify Teaching Certificate or LicenseAfter your application submission, the admission committee will verify your certificate or licensure history with the Ohio Department of Education.
