The Construction Boilermaker apprenticeship program at Lambton College provides the in-school component of your training, as set out by Skilled Trades Ontario. This trade involves building, installing, testing, maintaining, and repairing various types of boilers, tanks, and pressure vessels. Boilermakers are essential in manufacturing, working with structural and plate work for dust, air, gas, steam, oil, water, and other liquid-tight pressure vessels. The program integrates on-the-job experience with structured in-school learning to prepare you for the Red Seal exam.
Curriculum

Entry requirements
High School DiplomaO.S.S.D. or equivalent
This is an apprenticeship program. Prospective apprentices must register with the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Local 128, and Skilled Trades Ontario. Applicants registered as an apprentice usually receive an invitation from the Ministry of Labour, Training & Skills Development to apply for schooling. If you are a registered apprentice and haven't received this invitation, contact your local Ministry office.

How to apply
1. Register as an ApprenticeAll boilermaker apprentices in Ontario must register with the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Local 128, and also register through Skilled Trades Ontario. Apprentice contracts and training schedules are managed through IBB Local 128.
2. Receive Invitation for SchoolingIf you are a registered apprentice, you should receive a letter from the Ministry of Labour, Training & Skills Development inviting you to apply for the in-school portion of your apprenticeship.
3. Apply for SchoolingOnce you receive the invitation, proceed with the application for schooling. Your payment will be processed by the Office of the Registrar & Financial Aid Services at Lambton College.
4. Contact Ministry if No Invitation ReceivedIf you are a registered apprentice and have not received a letter regarding apprenticeship school, please contact your local Ministry of Labour, Training & Skills Development office.
