Advance your skills in computer animation and learn to create memorable characters and creatures from concept to post-production. This program focuses on advanced techniques in animation, physically accurate and technical animation, and advanced rigging and modeling. You will develop a strong portfolio showcasing your technical abilities and creativity, preparing you for a career in the film, television, advertising, video gaming, and web animation industries. Industry professionals with extensive experience teach this program, providing insights into both technical skills and professional work habits. Sheridan is also a proud partner of SideFX, the creators of the Oscar-winning Houdini animation software, offering you training with industry-standard tools. The program is designed in response to industry demand, offering specialized training for recent graduates and early-career professionals looking to launch or advance their careers.
Curriculum
The program is structured over two semesters, with courses divided into two 7-week sessions in the second semester. Courses cover pre-production, methodology, systems, sculpting, anatomy, materials, texturing, and a capstone project.

2. Provide TranscriptsSubmit official postsecondary transcripts indicating courses completed. For international applicants, if transcripts are not in English, provide a notarized, official translation along with the original copy.
3. Credential Assessment (International)International applicants whose credentials are not from Canada must have them assessed for equivalency. For domestic applicants with foreign education, a comprehensive (course-by-course) assessment through ICAS or WES is required.
4. Submit Portfolio (if required)Applicants without Sheridan's Computer Animation certificate, or those with a GPA below 3.0 from the certificate program, must submit a portfolio as per the specified requirements.
5. Meet English ProficiencyAll applicants whose first language is not English must meet Sheridan's English Language Proficiency requirements.
