
This Diploma of Business (Hospitality and Tourism Management) provides a strong foundation for a career in the global hospitality, events, or tourism industries. You will develop essential skills in management, human resources, promotions, and communication. The course covers key hospitality concepts and business management principles, preparing you for entry-level roles. It also offers a direct pathway into the second year of a Bachelor of Business program.
The course consists of 7 core subjects and 1 elective, with each subject requiring approximately 10 hours of study per week (3 hours facilitated, 7 hours self-directed). Assessments include activity-based assignments and online quizzes; there are no formal exams.
Graduates are prepared for various roles within the hospitality and tourism industries. The diploma also serves as a pathway to further studies in a Bachelor of Business, with specializations available in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Event Management, Marketing, Sport Management, or Entrepreneurship.
