Kickstart your career in sport with La Trobe's Diploma of Sport Coaching and Development. This program is delivered through a combination of classroom learning and practical, field-based experience. You will gain skills in sport coaching, inclusive coaching, exercise programming, sport science, nutrition, and professional communication. You will study at La Trobe University's Melbourne (Bundoora) Campus and the Carlton College of Sport at Ikon Park, the home of the Carlton Football Club. This diploma offers direct industry exposure, allowing you to learn alongside elite athletes, coaches, and high-performance staff. You'll also complete 100 hours of placement as part of the course. Upon successful completion, you can apply for credit towards selected bachelor's degrees at La Trobe University. The amount of credit awarded will depend on your chosen degree and the diploma you complete. The Carlton College of Sport support team will assist you with study pathway options and the transition process.
