The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) by Research is a full research program designed for students with existing research knowledge and skills. This program allows you to delve deep into a chosen field and contribute new knowledge through rigorous academic inquiry. You will be guided by experienced faculty members and expected to produce original research that meets academic standards. The program requires students to present their research at colloquiums and successfully defend their proposals. Entry requirements
Master's DegreeA Master's degree from Universiti Utara Malaysia or any other recognized institution of higher learning, or equivalent qualifications recognised by the University Senate.
English Language ProficiencyFulfil the English language requirement as set by the University Senate.
Students may be required to register and pass pre-requisite research methodology and academic writing courses if they do not possess adequate research knowledge and skills. A minimum grade of B is required for these pre-requisite courses.
