The PhD programme is structured to provide a transformative research experience. The first year focuses on developing essential research skills.

International applicants typically need an IELTS score of 6.5 overall or a TOEFL iBT score of 79. English test results are valid for 2 years.
A Master's Degree in the field or related fields is generally required. Bachelor's Degree holders with a minimum CGPA of 3.67 in a related field may also be considered, provided they have passed relevant qualifying assessments.
The program duration is 3-6 years for full-time students and 4-8 years for part-time students.
Intake months for the program are February, April, June, September, and October.
The tuition fee for international students on the Normal Mode, Full Time basis is USD 19,489. Please note that a 6% Service Tax may be imposed on non-Malaysian citizens effective July 1, 2025, which is not included in this fee.
