Aalto University is seeking motivated Doctoral Researchers for the Finnish Quantum Science and Technology doctoral education pilot (QDOC). This pilot program offers a unique opportunity to gain advanced education in quantum science and technology (QST) within a multidisciplinary network of academic and industrial experts across Finland. Aalto University is hosting 40 out of 90 available positions, with versatile research opportunities spanning theoretical, experimental, and applied physics, chemistry, photonics, computational science, materials science, nanotechnology, electrical engineering, and economics. Some projects involve collaboration with industrial partners, providing excellent career path development opportunities.

Entry requirements
Master's degreeCompleted Master's degree in physics, mathematics, computational science, nanoscience, nanotechnology, electrical engineering, economics, or a closely related field by the start date of employment.
Proficiency in EnglishDemonstrated during the admission to the doctoral programme, typically with an official certificate (e.g., IELTS/TOEFL).
Applicants must meet the admission criteria for the Aalto Doctoral Programme and obtain the right to pursue doctoral studies at Aalto University. Presence in Finland for the duration of the contract is compulsory.
