Alternatively, a minimum of 15 ECTS credits in linguistics, literature, and/or cultural studies is needed for specializations in Literature, Linguistics, or Culture. For the Linguistics specialization, a Bachelor's degree in humanities is required.

How to apply
1. 1. Find Your ProgrammeSelect a program that matches your interests and career goals. You can apply to up to three programs, but can only be admitted to one.
2. 2. Check Application DatesNote the application deadlines: May 1 for non-EU/EFTA citizens and July 1 for EU/EFTA citizens. The academic year begins September 1st.
3. 3. Check Eligibility and Prepare DocumentsVerify you meet the general, program-specific, and language proficiency requirements. Prepare necessary documents, including verified copies of your undergraduate diploma and transcripts (accepted in English or Lithuanian). For non-EU/EFTA applicants, the gap since your Bachelor's degree must not exceed five years.
4. 4. Pay Application Fee and SubmitSubmit your application online via apply.vu.lt and pay the 100 EUR application fee through Flywire. Ensure all required documents are uploaded before the deadline.
5. 5. Motivational InterviewIf your qualifications meet the requirements, you will be invited for a motivational interview.
6. 6. Confirm Acceptance and Pay Tuition FeeUpon assessment (within 30 days), you will receive an offer. Confirm acceptance within 7 working days. If admitted to a non-state-funded place, pay the annual tuition fee within 15 calendar days of the offer.
7. 7. Arrange ArrivalAfter paying tuition, you will receive a final acceptance letter. For non-EU citizens, VU will send a mediation letter for visa/residence permit applications. Arrange accommodation via apply.vu.lt if needed.
