Purdue University Northwest offers an 18-credit hour certificate program in Expressive Arts in Counseling (EAC). This program is designed for individuals who are already working in mental health, school counseling, or human services professions and wish to integrate expressive arts techniques into their therapeutic practice. It is open to students holding or pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree in counseling or a related therapeutic field. The certificate focuses on therapeutic skills and is not intended for teachers.
Curriculum
The program requires 18 credit hours of coursework. A maximum of 12 credits from this certificate may also be applied towards the MS Ed program in Mental Health Counseling.
